Start from the venue and the season. The best flowers are the ones grown nearby at that time of year, and a local florist knows the suppliers, the distances and the venue's rules. Ask for photos of set-ups in the same venue or similar spaces, and for a quote with separate lines: bouquet, ceremony, centrepieces, installations, set-up and breakdown.

Many Italian villas work with approved suppliers or set tight set-up times: check with the venue before you sign with a florist. Planning from abroad, look at the languages each florist speaks and ask whether they work by video call and visit the venue for you.

How much does a wedding florist cost in Turin?
