A moodboard brings together photos of flowers, venues, dresses, fabrics and colours to show the atmosphere you are after. It is not a list of pieces: it helps you check straight away that you and your florist are picturing the same thing. Often you make the first one, then the florist turns it into a proposal with a colour palette and flowers that are in season.
What you do not like counts too: a couple of images to avoid say more than ten to copy. If you are marrying from abroad, it is your main tool, together with the mockup. The guide on how to build a wedding flower moodboard explains what to include; the one on working with a florist remotely uses it for couples living abroad; the wedding flower timeline tells you when to prepare it.
What to ask: whether the flowers in the photos are in season on your date, what would change to fit your budget.
