An elopement is a wedding with almost no guests: the couple, an officiant, a photographer, sometimes witnesses. A micro wedding is similar but with a small group, usually under twenty people. In Italy they are chosen mainly by couples from abroad, for places such as the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como, Venice or the Dolomites.
There are few flowers, but they are seen close up and photographed a lot: a bridal bouquet, a buttonhole, sometimes a small backdrop. Logistics often matter more than budget: delivery to the hotel, photos in public places, permits. The guide to eloping and micro weddings in Italy covers places, permits and flowers; the sample quotes show a typical case; the one on the Amalfi Coast describes a much-loved destination.
What to ask: whether the florist takes small orders, whether there is a minimum spend, where and when they deliver.
