Decorating the bride's home (addobbi della casa della sposa) is a custom that is very much alive in several parts of Italy, especially the South. On the wedding day, and sometimes the day before, the entrance, front door, stairs and balcony are dressed with flowers, greenery and white ribbons. The house becomes the first place of the celebration: relatives, neighbours and the photographer arrive, sometimes the procession sets off from there. Some families decorate the groom's home too.
For the florist it means one more delivery, often early in the morning, before the church. It makes sense to use the same colour palette as the rest of the wedding. The guide to decorating the bride's home describes the tradition and what is done; the one on buttonholes and flowers for the groom explains what is delivered in the morning; the general guide to wedding flowers lists it among the items.
What to ask: what time the team arrives, whether the decoration stays or is taken to the church, whether it is in the quote.
