Toss bouquet

A second, smaller and cheaper bouquet made just for the toss, so you can keep the real one.

A toss bouquet is a smaller copy of the bridal bouquet, made to be thrown to friends during the party. It saves the real bouquet, which many brides want to keep, dry or give away. The custom is now common at Italian weddings too.

Sometimes it is included in the quote, sometimes not: check the line. Indicative ranges are in the guide on how much a bridal bouquet costs. If you want to keep the main bouquet, read how to preserve your bouquet and what to do with the flowers after the wedding. The customs around the toss are covered in flowers and Italian wedding traditions.

What to ask: whether it is included, which flowers it will use, and whether it is light enough, with no rigid parts.

Frequently asked questions

Does the toss bouquet have to be the same as the real one?

No. It usually echoes the colours and flowers, but it is smaller and sturdier. Guests rarely notice the difference.
